NAGAON: Union Minister to State for Railways, Rajen Gohain on Tuesday could not turn up in Nagaon Court as he is attending the winter session of the Parliament in New Delhi. A molestation case was registered against him in Nagaon police station a couple of months back and the court itself proceeded with the trial after the victims requested the court to dismiss it as a consequence of misunderstanding. The court recently summoned him to be present physically in the court on January 8.

According to sources, the court fixed another date next month for his appearance before the court. The sources said that as he was away from the State for long, the local police could not hand over the summon to him. Hence the minister was not exactly aware of the court summon till date.
