KOHIMA: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio along with Minister Health and family Welfare (H&FW) SPangnyu Phom, PWD Minster Tongpang Ozukum and Advisor RD Dr Neikiesalie Nicky Kire inspected the ongoing developmental work at Medical College site at Phriebagei, here recently.
The Chief Minister instructed the medical department to plant more trees in and around the area and also to put up retaining walls all around the boundary. He also stressed on the importance of construction of well-planned drainages within the medical college campus. He instructed the consultants to come up with solution to the problems faced by them at the earliest. He urged the consultants and department officials to work overtime and complete work within the stipulated time period.
He further instructed the departments to submit a full status report on the progress, achievement and technical hitches before the Niti Ayog meeting which is to be held soon.
The consultant briefed the visiting team about the various problems and technical difficulties faced and highlighted the issue of National Ground Level (NGL), for which they had to redesign the blueprint of the building structure. Principal Secretary and Food Safety Commissioner, H&FW, Himato Zhimomi also assured the team that all necessary developmental work will be speeded up for a fully functional medical college very soon.
