NFRMU begins 72-hour hunger strike

TINSUKIA, May 9: Responding to the clarion call of All India Railwaymen’s Federation (AIRF), the Tinsukia division of NFRMU began its 72-hour hunger strike since Tuesday in protest against non-fulfilment of 15-point charters of demands, including anti-labour policy of the government, and the strike will continue till Friday forenoon. Several branches of NFRMU under Tinsukia division have been observing strike at various locations. While Furkating, Mariani, Simulguri branches observed the strike at Mariani Station, Tinsukia, New Tinsukia and Ledu branches sat at New Tinsukia Station.
