NTPC conducts fashion designing and beautician course

KOKRAJHAR, April 26: Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project, NTPC Limited, under the aegis of Bardwishikla Ladies’ Club, conducted a fashion designing and beautician course for underprivileged women for three months that concluded recently.

The successful participants were provided certificates along with sewing machines for the fashion designing course.  Apart from that, beautician kits will be provided to the participants of the beautician course. ndini Chakraborti, president of Bardwishikla Ladies’ Club, along with other senior office bearers of the club distributed the certificates and sewing machines to the participants. Altogether 16 women in the fashion designing course and 15 in the beautician course participated in the training.

Speaking on the occasion, Utpal Chakrabarti, Group General Mager of the NTPC expressed happiness and stated that such training would help the local women to become self-reliant and move ahead in life. GM (O&M) A.K Das was also present on the occasion.
