Pramila Rani Brahma inaugurates Pensioners' Bhavan of Kokrajhar district committee

KOKRAJHAR: The Minister of WPT&BC and Soil Conservation, Pramila Rani Brahma on Monday inaugurated the new extended building of Government Pensioners' Bhavan of Kokrajhar district committee and the new indoor stadium at Bhotgaon in Kokrajhar.

In her address, Brahma said the new extension of Government Pensioners' Bhavan of Kokrajhar district would have space for meetings and sharing views and expressions. She said the pensioners of the district would be able to sit together and chalk out the strategy for welfare of the society.

Brahma said she released Rs 5 lakh for the extension of Pensioners' Bhavan at Kokrajhar from her MLA area development fund and the fund was utilized properly for the successful completion of the building. She also said there should be separate and hassle-free treatment room for retired persons in every civil hospital where they could avail proper care. The meeting was chaired by the president of Kokrajhar district committee of Government Pensioners' Association, Gambhir Nath. Around 50 government pensioners attended the inaugural function of new extension of building.

Meanwhile, minister Brahma also inaugurated the newly-constructed Indoor Stadium in the complex of 129 Bn. CRPF at Bhotgaon in Kokrajhar. The indoor stadium was constructed at a cost of Rs. 29 lakh released by Bodoland Territorial Council.
