KALAIGAON: The River Noa under Kalaigaon Revenue Circle in Udalguri district has overflown due to incessant rain and several villages were flooded on Monday.

The flood-affected villages are Rupatal, Bhehguri, Balipara, Hapabari, Gerua, No.2 Amguri, Habibhanga, No.2 Kalaigaon and Sagunbahi. Villagers of these areas said that they demanded immediate repair of the old embankment of Noa River which had been ravaged by floods.
