Talar wins All India Ranking Badminton title

ITAGAR, Nov 28: Aruchal’s top shuttler Laa Talar again brought laurel to the state by winning the 14th Union Bank All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tourment-2015 title at Bangalore on Friday. Talar currently ranked 18th in all India junior (U-19) ranking beat Arintap Dasgupta (19th) in the fil in straight 21-14, 21-10 sets to win the gold medal. He entered into the fil defeating second ranked Chirag Sen in three sets (18-21, 21-11, 21-18) that lasted for 52 minutes.

Earlier, Talar beat Satish idu (25th) in the first round, Arjun Sachdeva in the second round, Kartikey Gulshan Kumar (8th)  in third round and Bodhit Joshi (9th) in the fourth round.  The tourment was participated by as many as 124 shuttlers from all over the country, including the top ranked players under 19 years category.

Meanwhile, Aruchal State Badminton Association has congratulated Talar for winning the title with an impressive performance throughout the tourment defeating higher ranked players.
