Guwahati: The weather in Guwahati, although seems to be clear and fine for two days now, but the India Meteorological Department has forecasted cloudy sky with intermittent rains for the metro city.
At a time when most of the districts of Assam are reeling under severe floods, Guwahati and its surrounding areas too are facing an equally miserable situation due to the heavy rainfall. People living in particular areas like Uzan Bazaar, Fancy Bazaar, Nabin Nagar, Anil Nagar, Kharghuli etc are having particularly miserable days for their houses being flooded with water flowing from the swollen bed of the Mighty Brahmaputra.

As per the IMD forecast chart for the forthcoming week, the weather in Guwahati will remain cloudy. This will also be accompanied by one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. The same situation is to prevail for the next five days starting from July 17 to 21. The next two days, July 22 and 23 will witness rains or thundershowers in the city.
