MANGALDAI, Jan 27: Saptati Endow, a young lady officer of Assam Civil Service, 2015 batch who is on probation has created a record in the state to become the youngest officer to hoist the tiol Flag in the ceremonial celebration of the Republic Day. Saptati Endow, who joined as an Assistant Commissioner on October last year, has been serving as the Sub Divisiol Officer (Civil) as no other senior officer of ACS or IAS have been posted there.
Escorted by the Sub Divisiol Police Officer Nirupam Hazarika, she hoisted the tiol Flag in presence of nearly 2000 people.
Bikram Rabha and Bodosa Boro of Khairabari who bagged the silver medal in in Kick Boxing event in the recently concluded All India School Games were offered felicitation on the celebration.
Executive Members of BTC Jagadish Sarkar, Lwmsraow Daimari and Bonjar Daimari, Deputy Speaker of BTC Nelson Boro and Legislator of Paneri LAC Kamali Basumatary also attended the celebration.
Meanwhile, Sub Divisiol Officer (S) of Udalguri district Dithaka nda Hazarika hoisted the tiol Flag at Gandhi Bakori field at Kalaigaon. Two wildlife activist and jourlist Jayanta Kumar Das for his contribution towards conservation of wildlife and popular singer Dhiren Deka for his cultural activities were felicitated in the celebration.
In Tangla, Additiol Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri BJ Manta hoisted the tiol Flag at Tangla HS School playground. Eighteen contingents of NCC, Scouts and Guides and students of various schools took part in March Past event. Six distinguished people were felicitated on the occasion.
