11th Annual General Assembly concludes at Immanuel Baptist Church

ITANAGAR: The 11th Annual General Assembly of the Arunachal Pradesh Baptist Church Council (ABCC) which began on May 17 at the Immanuel Baptist Church, Ziro, concluded with great fanfare on Monday. The event hosted by the Apatani Baptist Church Association, despite the inclement weather, more than 350 delegates from 18 Baptist Church associations/councils from all over Arunachal Pradesh attended the programme. Choir groups from Apatani Baptist Association and Adi Baptist Union, a Gospel cultural troop from Nyishi Baptist Church Council, the Praise and Worship Team from the Apatani Baptist Association and many more filled the air with spirit of devotion.

The Assembly started with hoisting of the ABCC flag by Norbu Lama, president of ABCC and dedication of a assembly hall by Rev Dr Changha Chippo. The Assembly dwelt on the theme "Encouraging One Another" taken from Bible verse Hebrew 10:25.

The Assembly prayed for peace and tranquillity in the State of Arunachal Pradesh, the nation and the world. The Assembly expressed deep concern on the emergence of growing terror activities and deteriorating law and order situations and prayed for forgiveness and divine wisdom for all concerned.
