ITANAGAR: A total of 16,736 Health workers have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine so far in the State while seven persons reportedly developed after effects following immunization, said State Immunization Officer (SIO) Dr Dimong Padung.
Meanwhile, no COVID-19 infection case was reported in Arunachal Pradesh in the past 24 hours, while one person recuperated from the disease on Sunday. The State's caseload is 16, 828, while the total number of cured patients rose to 16,758, said State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa.
The recovery rate in the State has touched 99.58 per cent, while the positivity stands at 0.07 per cent and the fatality rate at 0.33 per cent. As on date, the State has 13 active COVID-19 cases, while 56 people have succumbed to the infection so far.
The Capital Complex Region — comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas — and West Kameng have four active cases each. A total of 3,92,211 samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far, including 68 on Sunday, added Dr Jampa.
The Health department has been carrying out the inoculation drive four days a week — Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The State has received a total of 32,000 doses of Covishield vaccines from the Centre until now, added Dr Padung.
