ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh reported 426 fresh COVID-19 cases, pushing the total caseload in the State to 37,531.This is the highest single-day spike of Coronavirus cases in the State this month.

Earlier on May 29 this year, the state recorded the highest ever single-day spike in COVID-19 cases with 497 people being tested positive. The toll tally in increased to 179 when two more persons died in the past two days, said State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa here on Tuesday.

A 29-year-old man from Lohit district breathed his last on way to hospital at Dibrugarh in Assam on July 4 last while another man of 32 years age from Changlang died at a hospital in Assam's Dibrugarh district the same day.

The Capital Complex Region reported the highest number of new cases at 96, followed by East Siang (56), West Kameng (44), Upper Subansiri (34), Lohit (32), Lower Dibang Valley (21), Papumpare (17), West Siang (16), Changlang (14), Siang (13) and East Kameng at 12 cases, the SSO said.
