Miran Taron met his parents on Monday 31st January during an event in the Tuting area of Upper Siang district, Arunachal Pradesh. He got reunited with families after more than a week.

The panchayat representatives of the area and local administration took initiative to welcome the boy in his village with warm greetings.

Meanwhile the father of the teen boy, Opang Taron stated that his son got mentally disturbed after the torture that he faced throughout the incident.

Opang claims that during the one week time when his son was in detention, he was tied and blindfolded by the Chinese Army.

He further claimed that during the initial days Miram was kicked in the back and also given mild electric shocks. The PLA armies kept him blindfolded for most of the time during the detention period and his hands were tied for the entire period except for eating purposes.
