ITANAGAR: Mission Parivaar Vikas (MPV) was launched at the KDS District hospital in Tawang by ADC Lobsang Tsering in presence of DMO Dr Wangdi Lama, Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr N Namshum, DRCHO Dr Rinchin Neema and other health and ICDS department officials.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADC said that the Government has designed many beautiful programmes for the benefit of the people and the health department has maximum of those programmes to implement in the health sector.

"The responsibility lies on all of us to sincerely implement those schemes to benefit grass root people. Health department is the custodian of healthy human resource of the country," he said and lauded the health workers.

Speaking about Mission Parivaar Vikas, he said that all the knowledge of technology and expertise in medicine and health initiatives of the Government would go in vain if people are not trained properly.

"We can make those people in villages having many children, and not having adequate knowledge of contraceptive methods, aware that these are provided free of cost by Government," the ADC added.

Earlier, the DMO informed about current health scenario of the district and asked health officials to create awareness regarding various contraceptive methods, which are available free of cost in all the health facilities.

DRCHO Dr Rinchin Neema in his address spoke about the aims and objectives behind launching of MPV and also about routine immunization programmes. He sought cooperation from all for successful implementation of the mission at the grass root level.

Later, an ambulance rally carrying messages and information regarding free contraceptive family planning methods in Monpa, Hindi and English languages, was flagged off by the ADC.
