ITANAGAR: The Adi Baane Kebang (ABK) Academic Board conducted a felicitation programme at DK Convention Hall here on Saturday.
The programme was organized for the recently selected Assistant Engineers through Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Examination and the sub-junior girl players who won silver medal in the recently concluded national-level tournament in Odisha.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Alo Libang, Minister Health and Family Welfare, and Social Welfare said that the newly selected officers should serve the people with dedication and commitment. Libang said that the new government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu is committed to promote the young talents in the State. He also appreciated the girl football players who made the State proud at the national level for the first time.
PWD Commissioner Belatee Pertin, while attending the meeting as the resource person, advised the young officers not to be influenced of some unscrupulous contractors. Officers should serve free and fair for the welfare of the common people.
ABK president, Er. Getom Borang, while adivising the young officers stressed on their managerial skills in delivering service to the people. Many senior members from the Adi Community also spoke on the occasion.
