All Arunachal Pradesh Student Union (APPSU) launches campaign on sanitary, hygiene awareness

ITANAGAR, July 26: A state-wide campaign on 'Sanitary and Hygiene Awareness', with the theme 'Be Clean, Be Healthy' initiated by All Arunachal Pradesh Student Union (APPSU) was inaugurated by the Capital Superintendent of Police (SP) M Harshan Vardhan at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Itanagar on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, SP MH Vardhan applauded the initiative taken by APPSU and said that awareness on sanitation and hygiene should be the first priority of every citizen.

Referring example of Japanese people's civic sense during 2018 Football World Cup, he urged students to have the same responsibility and also appealed to the School Faculty to maintain Weekly Samadhan, a programme on cleanliness and other society-related issues.

Encouraging the students to take up cleanliness sincerely, APPSU president, Hawa Bagang assured that the union will restore the GHSS water issue within a week time. He also informed that with the help of fire tenders, toilet blockade of the GHSS was cleared in the morning.

Meanwhile, Bagang also appealed to the students, especially the boys not to entertain illegal students' union, but rather focus on school curriculum. Those vested union will manipulate the minds and waste the time of potential students, he added.
