Anganwadi Workers, CDPO Staff Organized Tribal Food Mela In Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar: In continuation with the programmes under Rashtriya Poshan Maah (national nutrition month), the Anganwadi workers and CDPO staff of Tawang district in Arunachal Pradesh has organized a mini tribal food mela on Tuesday. Tawang additional deputy commissioner Lobsang Tsering along with other senior officers was invited in the mela.

CDPO Dondup Pema explained about aims and objectives of the mela and appreciated the hard works and dedication of Anganwadi workers and supervisory staffs of women and child development department.

Traditional monpa food specially made of locally grown organic grains and vegetables were main attraction of the mela besides balbhog khichdi and laddu prepared by the supervisors of the department.

Tsering congratulated all the participants of the mela and felicitated the participants with fruit basket and khada for putting their efforts in making the food mela and entire Rashtriya Poshan maah successful.

DRDA project director Lobsang Tsetan, District Medical Officer Dr Wangdi Lama and other officials lauded the team work and efforts of the department, an official release informed here.
