ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) in partnership with the State Health department will conduct Antigen Tests for all traders across the Capital Complex under the guidance of Rapid Response Team head Dr Gomi Basar. The test already started in the Naharlagun area on Sunday under the charge of ACCI secretary general Toko Tatung, a communiqué informed here on Monday.

The traders' body would carry out Antigen Tests at Nirjuli, Doimukh, Yupia, Nyorch and Banderdewa under the charge of its president Tarh Nachung and the exercise would conclude at Itanagar under the charge of its vice-president Azad Bagang.

Meanwhile, after the State government on Sunday announced extension of the ongoing lockdown period in the Capital region till August 3, ACCI chief adviser Pradeep Kumar held an emergency meeting of its executive members later in the day. The traders' body apprehended that consumers may face some problems following the the government's move. However, its president Nachung said that he had suggested that all the 450 business establishments should remain open on July 20, 21 and 28 for the people so that they do not face any shortage of essential commodities. The ACCI also forwarded this suggestion to Capital DC Komkar Dulom who had sought the organization's opinion regarding opening of shops, the communiqué added.
