ITANAGAR: Vanathi Srinivasan, the national Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha (BJMM) president and also a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, attended the BJMM state executive meeting held at the Banquet hall near here on Thursday.

Addressing the gathering, Srinivasan said that, unlike any other political party, the BJP government has given top priority to the woman community in terms of education, health, government benefits, etc., due to which the present era is called as 'Women era of women empowerment.'

She said the empowerment of women's community is well understood and accordingly looked into under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today, schemes like Ujwala Yojna, Jan Dhan Yojna, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, etc., are the most successful schemes benefiting women.

"More than 10 crore family till date has been facilitated with gas connection. Also, more than 10 crores of toilets have been constructed in rural villages. The problems faced by the women due to the lack of toilet facilities in each household are today solved under the present government," she said.

She also said that it is the political stability in the country that has brought drastic positive change. Furthermore, it is the political stability in the state (Arunachal Pradesh) due to which countries like China despite sharing international boundary doesn't dare to intrude.

"This political stability is also the reason today there is digital transformation in the rural areas. It is providing access to the rural poor people with the latest updates on national and international politics, improving the education system, providing better health facilities, etc," she added.

While appealing to the district party organization to learn how to conduct such meetings in an organized manner, Srinivasan also encouraged them to encourage children to communicate in their mother language. Additionally, she also asked the party workers to ensure every single scheme for women reaches the last villages of the state.

Meanwhile, state BJMM president Higio Aruni also spoke on the party works being executed in the state for the welfare of the women community. She said every task for women's empowerment and welfare is being taken care of. Among others, BJP Vice President Taga Burang, Chairman of Arunachal Pradesh State Medicinal Plants Board (APSMPB) Karya Bagang, and BJMM district unit representatives attended the meeting.
