ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh BJP president Biyuram Waghe said that the announcement made by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on third tranche of measures under India's COVID-19 relief package will help in bringing back the State's economy in the agriculture and allied sectors. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday had announced these measures.

Waghe, while addressing media persons at party office here on Saturday, said that the State has not yet presented any specific amount to the Central Government from India's COVID-19 relief package of Rs 20 lakh crore.

However, each announcement made by the Central Government will surely boost the States' infrastructure, formalization of micro-food enterprises, developing animal husbandry, etc., he added.

He said that the expansion of "Operation Green" which will cover all fruits and vegetables will benefit the local farmers of the State.

"The Central Government will decide on how much amount will be given to the State. And the State government has also not submitted and particular amount of budget to the Centre," he said.

Waghe also said that the announcement of agricultural marketing reforms which will be implemented through a new law will ease the interstate trade.

"This reform will be beneficial for the State as the farmers will have access to the best market for their products. It will essentially lead to one nation-one market," he said.

Likewise, other announcements will also bring a positive change in terms of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, dairy development and fisheries, he added.

On the sidelines, the party president also informed that the BJP as a party is working round the clock to provide essentials to the people in the entire country.

"Not only in the 26 districts of the State, but the party workers along with the RSS and the ABVP are also assisting and providing rations and masks to the stranded people in other States of the country, he informed.

Waghe said that, party workers have been appointed as nodal officers to help the needy and especially the migrant labourers. More than 30,725 people from the State has been distributed food packages and masks in the State, he added.
