ITANAGAR: BJP president JP Nadda on Thursday said that the health facilities in the country have been drastically improved to contain and fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Inaugurating the newly constructed six-storied party's office at Vivek Vihar here virtually, Nadda informed that the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been fighting the pandemic successfully. He thanked the people of the state for their cooperation extended to the government in the war against the dreaded virus.

He said BJP workers are an indispensable part of the party and with the inauguration of the permanent office; the workers would work with more zeal and serve the party and the frontier State with utmost sincerity.

Nadda also congratulated Chief Minister Pema Khandu, State President B R Wahge and the party workers for the new office building.

Speaking on the occasion, Khandu said that under the Modi government, entire North-eastern States have achieved never before development through his unflinching love and care towards the region.

The Chief Minister also lauded the party workers for reaching out to the masses to apprise them of the programme and policies of the centre and the state government and for demonstrating extraordinary courage while rendering exceptional services during the pandemic.

The programme was attended among others by the party's national general secretaries Dilip Saikia and Ajay Jamwal, Union Minister of State for Sports & Youth Affairs Kiren Rijiju, state Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao and Rajya Sabha MP Nabam Rebia.
