Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industries donates 11,000 masks to IMA

Itanagar: Responding to the State-wide Mask4Arunachal campaign launched by the Arunachal chapter of the India Medical Association, the Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) on Saturday donated 11,000 masks to the doctors’ body.

The State chapter of IMA launched the campaign was launched on Wednesday last to create awareness on wearing mask in order to contain spread of Covid-19 pandemic in the state.

IMA State chapter Honorary Secretary Dr Jego Ori and Joint Secretary Dr Minggam Pertin received the high quality masks from ACCI team led by president Tarh Nachung, secretary-general Toko Tatung and chief advisor Pradeep Kumar Behera at Tomo Riba Institute of Medical Sciences (TRIMHS) campus in Naharlagun, near here.

Reciprocating the noble gesture of ACCI, Dr Ori and Dr Pertin said, “This is a movement by the people for the people. These masks will be distributed to the people who cannot afford to purchase.”

The information education and communication (IEC) cell of IMA Arunachal chapter, has so far distributed 3,000 masks during the last 3 days in various parts of the Capital Complex, including Nyorch, Yupia, Tarajuli, Pachin and Itanagar.
