NAHARLAGUN: Arunachal Minister for Education Er Taba Tedir has said that the government will invest Rs 1,000 crore to overhaul the Education sector across the State.

The Minister made this announcement in the presence of Special Secretary Education Shashvat Saurabh during the the State Council meeting of Bharat Scouts & Guides (BSG) at the State Training Centre in Polo Colony here recently.

In the meeting, Education Minister Er Taba Tedir was unanimously elected as the President of the State Council BSG, while Education Commissioner Niharika Rai was elected as the Vice President and Secondary Education Director Marken Kadu was elected was elected as the State Chief Commissioner of BSG.

Delivering his presidential speech, Minister Tedir also appreciated the service of scouts and guides and advice them to work with missionary zeal and serve the society selflessly to build responsible future citizens. He also appreciated the selfless service rendered by the BSG volunteers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

State Organizing Commissioner (Guide) Chanyan Lowang presented the annual report of Scout & Guide activities, 2018-19 & 2019-20 and also the Budget estimate for 2020-21. Earlier, Director of Secondary Education Marken Kadu offered the welcome address and briefed the purpose of the State Council Meeting. The State Secretary of BSG, Shehang Ronrang, and the State Training Commissioner Kempi Pakam also spoke on the occasion.
