Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr. B D Mishra on Tuesday urged upon the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) to join hands with the state government to provide basic amenities to the people through central projects like Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojana.
During a meeting with a delegation of IOC led by Chief General Manager (CGM) of Guwahati-based North East state office Uttiya Bhattacharyya, at Raj Bhawan here, the governor emphasised on quality and efficiency in the process.
The Governor advised the IOC CGM to increase the area coverage in the state as a branch of a welfare state, an official communique informed.
The CGM briefed the governor about the IOC and assured him to put Arunachal Pradesh for LPG and other petroleum products coverage on their priority list. He informed that record 14 distributorships were commissioned in the state after the governor wrote a letter to the union Petroleum and Natural Gas minister for maximum area coverage in the state.
