Arunachal Governor BD Mishra calls for ending gender bias

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein called on State Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra at Raj Bhawan here on Thursday and discussed about the ensuing Budget session and other developmental projects in the State.

The Governor emphasised on improving the standard of living of the people and eradication of gender discrimination, illiteracy, unemployment and income inequality. He expressed hope that budgetary measures of the State Government would facilitate the Government machinery in meeting the socio-economic goals for the overall benefit of the people.

Mishra stressed on proper monitoring of expenditure and optimum utilization of allocated funds.

He said that the Government officials should ensure that the last man in the queue is benefited from the developmental schemes and projects taken up by the Government, a Raj Bhawan statement said here.
