ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra on Saturday emphasized the need for preparing a master plan for Jarbom Gamlin Government Law College (JGGLC) at Jote near here, so that the infrastructure is created in a need-based manner to cater for the requirements of the campus in the coming years.

Chairing a review meeting at the Raj Bhawan here, the Governor asked the officers concerned to take up the infrastructure development of JGGLC on a mission mode.

He advised the education department to work with farsightedness, timeline and in a cost-effective process.

"The institute must have proper structure for all required amenities by the students and the security apparatus for a conducive educational environment," he stressed.

At the initiative of the Governor, who recently visited the college, issues related to college bus and internet connectivity were sorted out. Water supply and other issues were also discussed and the Commissioner, Education was directed to finalize all the infrastructural issues and follow up its effective and speedy implementation.

A draft master plan was presented in the meeting by the engineering branch of the education department.

The Governor said that the master plan needed full details and after its detailed working out, it should be shown to him as well.

Education Commissioner Padmini Singla, PWD (WZ) Chief Engineer T Talo, Higher Education Director Higher Education A Jongkey, Papumpare DC Minga Sherpa and JGGLC Principal Dr G George were present in the meeting along with other JGGLC works related officers, a communiqué informed here.
