ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor K T Parnaik on 21st of February, Tuesday, presented gold and silver medals to deserving individuals of the state. The awards were presented at an event which took place at the General Bipin Rawat Hall in Raj Bhawan.
Along with that, the governor presented the Chief Minister’s Award under the category of Excellence Award in Public Administration, Chief Minister’s Award for Cleanest Village. During the event, the governor also felicitated the Unsung Heroes. The Airport Authority of India (AAI), the Department of Civil Aviation and Arunachal Pradesh Investment and Innovation Park of the planning department were conferred the gold medals.
Apart from these departments, the Deputy Commissioner of East Siang Tayi Taggu alog with senior journalist Amar Sangno also received the gold medal by the Governor.
Eighteen individuals were recognised for the tremendous contributions in the state and were presented the silver medal. Governor K T Parnaik applauded and felicitated the Unsung Heroes of eight tribal communities of Arunachal Pradesh.
The CMs Award for Excellence in public administration’22 was received by the Arunachal Pradesh State Selection Board (APSSB). Apart from the gold and silver medal, the community-based organisation (CBO) were honoured by the Governor. Parnaik also awarded nine village of different districts for the CMs Award for Cleanest Village for the year 2022.
The prize includes a memento, a citation and cash prize of Rs 50,000. The villages to receive the award were Gori village (Basar Block, Leparada district), Kuchep-1 Village (Changlang Block, Changlang district), Ozakho Village, (Longding Block, Longding district), Doji Jelly Village, (Aalo East Block, West Siang district), Dipa Village (Likabali Block, Lower Siang district), Rottung Village (Kebang circle, Siang district), Shyaro Village (Tawang Block, Tawang district), Siluk village (Mebo Block in East Siang district) and Jona Kachari ( Chowkham Block in Namsai district).
