ARUNACHAL PRADESH: Arunachal Pradesh has added another feather to its cap by winning the prestigious "Most Active State under RCS-UDAN- Priority Areas" award at the 4th Wings India Awards. The accolades were given in recognition of the country’s impressive progress in civil aviation.
The awards ceremony was held at Hyderabad’s Begumpet airport on the opening day of Asia’s largest air event. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia presented the award to Arunachal Pradesh Director of Civil Aviation Starlee Jamoh, in recognition of exemplary progress in the expansion of the state’s aviation infrastructure and upgradation of mobility in transport.
The ongoing construction of airports at Itanagar and Tezu, as well as civil terminal buildings in cities such as Walong, Jiro, Mechukha, Tuting and Daporijo, are major developments with particular emphasis on fixed-wing aircraft successfully established to Pasighat, Jiro, the Tezu and Itanagar Special contributions were made in recognition.
This is not the first time that Arunachal Pradesh’s aviation policies have been lauded. The state has previously won the "Best Emerging State in Aviation" award at the Wings India Summit in 2022, furthering its commitment to aviation development In the ongoing event, the Arunachal Pradesh government the representatives of the two parties are airlines, helicopter operators and other stakeholders.
