ITANAGAR: A team of Arunachal Pradesh BJP mahila morcha led by its president, Kohman Lungphi Ngemu, attended the two-day national executive meeting, which began on Saturday last at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan in Guwahati. The meeting was attended by BJP National General Secretary and in charge of Mahila Morcha Dushyant Gautam and National President of the BJP Mahila Morcha Vanathi Srinivasan. Almost 200 delegates came from various states to participate in the first national-level executive meeting, conducted in the northeast.
Later, the state team also met Phangnon Konyak, the first lady Rajya Sabha member from Nagaland state, and had a fruitful discussion about the welfare of women in the North East. In the meeting, the BJP mahila morcha reaffirmed its commitment to serving the people of the nation and advancing their core values of nationalism, development, and good governance and adopted many resolutions. A rise in crime against women, especially in opposition-run states, is one of the remarkable resolutions adopted in the meeting, as a press release informed here on Monday.
