ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday took a slew of important decisions; including setting up of early childhood care and education (ECCE) centres in 300 schools across the State at a total cost of Rs 15 crore.

In a Facebook post Khandu said, "We want our children to grow as a good human being. So care is being taken to develop their cognitive skills, creative thinking and learning ability. A Cabinet decision was taken to develop 300 early childhood care and education (ECCE) centres in schools across the State."

The Cabinet also approved Rs 150 crores for Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the State. It may be mentioned that the State government has decided to provide 100 percent tap water connections to all the households in the State by 2023 under the mission. Among other important decision, the Cabinet passed resolution for adopting phase two of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) in the State. The Cabinet also decided to reopen schools from November 16 next for students of Classes X and XII keeping in view of the of the ensuing board examinations, by observing specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), official sources informed.
