Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday assured all possible help for the development of border town of Balemu in West Kameng district.
Attending a public meeting at Balemu accompanied by Dirang MLA Phurpa Tsering and Lumla MLA Jambey Tashi, Khandu said the town being located near the Arunachal Assam border, the administrative headquarters of Circle Office in Balemu has been upgraded to Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) office to strengthen the administration, an official release informed.
The Chief Minister said Balemu has great opportunity for agriculture and horticulture activities and promised to take up shortage of water issue as top priority.
Responding to a public memorandum, Khandu ster assured to upgrade the Govt Middle School of Balemu to Secondary level by next academic session.
He encouraged the spirit of competitiveness when applying for govt job informing that state government has brought reforms to stop corrupt practices in the recruitment process.
Khandu said state government is focusing on education and informed that teacher shortage and subject teachers shortage will be met, the release added.
