Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu Goes On A Bike Ride To Promote State Tourism

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, went on a bike ride on Sunday to promote the state’s tourism.

The 40-year-old began his ride from Yingkiong, headquarters of Upper Siang district, to Pasighat, the headquarters of East Siang district. He began his 122km long trip at around at 8am from Yingkiong Circuit House and reached Pasighat Airport at around 10.30 am.

Khandu also shared a video of his splendid ride in his twitter handle, where he is seen riding solo along with his security detail following him.

Accoding to Khandu’s tweet, the sole motive behind the motorcycle tour was to promote the state as a “dream destination for biking and adventure sports.”

The route along the ride presents a beautiful and picturesque view of the Siang Valley and Adi villages.

Arunachal Pradesh is an unexplored destination worth to visit for. It is a state located far, in the north-east corner of India, which has gathered ample of nature's beauty to serve and showcase. Known for its pristine beauty and lush green forests, the state is also known as the 'Land of the Rising Sun.'

It is also to be mentioned that, the young CM is a fitness enthusiast and has taken a 10 km cycle ride along with Bollywood actor and tourism brand ambassador for Arunachal Pradesh, Salman Khan, on the occasion of Mechuka Adventure Festival.
