Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein visits flood-hit areas

ITANAGAR: As part of a day-long visit to the Wakro sub-division in Lohit district on Friday, Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein inspected the flood-affected areas at Pukhari Village, Wakro Nallah and Kamlang. He was accompanied by officers of the Water Resources department, senior public personalities from Chongkham and also the Zila Parishad Chairperson of Lohit, Dasula Krishikro. The Deputy Chief Minister also inspected the construction work of the Malangkang minor irrigation project near the Waikhetliang area at Medo village. Chowna Mein instructed the Department officials to carry out a detailed survey for flood-protection works and draw up a plan for floodwater management, stated an official communiqué here.
