ITANAGAR: In a significant development-boosting education, commerce, and sports infrastructure, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein led a series of inaugurations in Miao, Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh. The event marked the inauguration of several projects aimed at enhancing various aspects of the region's growth.

At the inauguration ceremony held at Govt. HR. SEC. School in Miao, Deputy Chief Minister Mein unveiled a Girls’ Hostel. In his address, he stressed the importance of maintaining a positive learning environment, emphasizing the collaborative effort required from officers, parents, teachers, and students alike. Mein encouraged students to cultivate discipline in their academic pursuits, while urging faculty members to guide them as dedicated mentors. He assured the commitment of the government in creating an improved atmosphere for student learning, even announcing plans to fund the construction of a multi-sports complex within the Girl’s Hostel premises.

During his visit to the New Age Learning Centre (NALC), an initiative by DC Changlang, Mein commended the holistic learning environment created for students. He praised the center's role as a central library resource for nearby schools and as a supportive study environment for students who lack proper facilities at home. Mein pledged funding for the construction of a Yoga room attached to NALC, further underscoring the government's commitment to students' overall well-being.

An e-commerce portal, miaocraft.in, was also launched by Mein at NALC. The platform is dedicated to showcasing the region's diverse communities' products, including items woven by Choephelling Tibetan Settlement Camp weavers and those from communities like Singpho, Tangsa, and Jugli. The portal marked an impressive start with transactions worth Rs. 20,000 registered on its launch day.

Deputy Chief Minister Mein's itinerary also included a visit to Choephelling Tibetan Settlement Camp, where he lauded the preservation of rich Tibetan culture by its members. He applauded the Choephelling Cooperative Society's efforts in maintaining the art of carpet weaving, highlighting the significance of cultural preservation.

Notably, Mein inaugurated two Multi-Purpose Sports Complexes during his visit. These complexes comprise synthetic turf, cricket nets, and a Skating Rink cum BMX Park. This initiative significantly boosts sports infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh, offering dedicated spaces for sports enthusiasts to hone their skills.

The inauguration event witnessed the presence of Minister Kamlung Mosang, MLA Somlung Mossang, DC Changlang Sunny K Singh, ADC Miao Ibom Tao, public leaders, and government officials. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein's initiatives underscore the government's commitment to fostering education, commerce, and sports development for the holistic growth of Arunachal Pradesh.
