ITANAGAR: The district-level committee (DLC) meeting on Svanidhi se Samridhi was held at Ziro, in the Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh, on Thursday. Chairing the meeting, deputy commissioner Bamin Nime appreciated the performance of the Ziro branch of the Central Bank of India for the timely disbursement of loans to the beneficiaries and urged the other banks in the district to follow suit. The DC also suggested clubbing up the Svanidhi camp with the upcoming Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0 for broader outreach activities, particularly in the Yachuli and Old Ziro areas, as an official communiqué informed here.
Earlier, district urban development agency (DUDA) member secretary Nich Jacob highlighted the details of the PM Svanidhi and Samridhi schemes. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the non-disbursement of loans by some of the public sector banks to beneficiaries covered by the schemes. In the course of the meeting, the DLC members fixed November 24 as the date to conduct the Svanidhi Se Samridhi camp. The meeting was attended by all members of the DLC, including the executive engineers of power and PWD, district food and civil supply officer, deputy director (ICDS), district labour and employment officer, and branch managers of SBI, Apex Bank, Central Bank, and Rural Bank, the communiqué added.
