ITANAGAR: With parliamentary and assembly elections due early next year, the Arunachal Pradesh government has affected transfer, posting and re-allocation of 58 senior bureaucrats with immediate effect. Chief Secretary Dharmendra, in an order on Monday, informed that the transfer and posting have been done in accordance with the direction of the Election Commission of India (ECI). As many as two IAS officers and 56 Arunachal Pradesh Civil Service (APCS) officers have been reshuffled for public convenience, the order stated.

Health special secretary HP Vivek has been posted as Lower Subansiri deputy commissioner while Education special secretary Ira Singhal has been posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to state’s chief electoral officer. Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) joint secretary Duly Kamduk has been promoted as additional secretary of the board while Land Management and Consumer Affairs joint secretary BJ Duia has been promoted as additional secretary of the department. Arunachal Bhavan’s deputy resident commissioner in New Delhi, Sangeet Dubey has also been promoted as additional resident commissioner. Senior APCS officer Rujjum Rakshap, who was awaiting posting, has been posted as Lower Siang deputy commissioner while additional deputy commissioner of Itanagar Capital Region Jiken Bomjen has been promoted as Papum Pare deputy commissioner.

Papum Pare deputy commissioner Cheechung Chukhu has been transferred as DC Pakke Kessang. Tuting additional deputy commissioner Starlie Jamoh has been promoted as Civil Aviation director, the order said. As many as 49 APCS officers have been transferred and posted in various districts, and departments.
