ITANAGAR: The state of Arunachal Pradesh unveiled a faster, more effective, and smoother entry portal for tourists on Thursday under the name e- Inner Line Permit (elLP).

The Inner Permit Regime in  Arunachal is protected under the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation, 1873, which is why visitors to the state must get an Inner Line Permit (ILP).

The e-ILP portal has been specially created for tourists by the state's IT department.

Pema Khandu, the Chief Minister of state, posted on Twitter, "The eILP launched today is a great step to serve exclusively the tourists and smoothen their entry in the State. It will ease process of obtaining Inner Line Permit (ILP). There would be no waiting period for tourist eILP; application, approval process is simplified."

Tourists will travel more quickly thanks to the ID card-based registrations with mobile OTP-based self-verification and QR Code-based digitally issued ILP, which can be validated by police officers at check gates using specially built mobile applications, he noted.

The state's tourism industry is expanding quickly. As per the sources, In 2016, the state welcomed around 3.5 lakh visitors.

The state hopes to increase tourism with the deployment of the Tourists Police.

These police officers will receive training on the nearby tourist destinations, modes of transportation, lodging options, hospitals, and other amenities.

Because of its breathtaking beauty and tranquil settings, the state is well-liked by tourists.

Pema Khandu, the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, had stated that the Himalayan mountain range that runs the full length of the state offers one-of-a-kind unique road trip alternatives.
