ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh recorded 10 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, pushing the tally in the north-eastern state to 66,928, a senior health official said on Tuesday.

The active cases in the state stood at 26 after 16 new cases were reported in the past couple of days, the official said. All the cases were detected through rapid antigen tests, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said. The numbers of recoveries so far in the state stood at 66,606 while 296 people succumbed to the virus till date, the official said. The Capital Complex region, comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas, has the highest number of active cases at 11, followed by Tawang (5), Changlang and Namsai districts with four cases each and Leparada with one case, he added.
