ITANAGAR: The Covid-19 tally in Arunachal Pradesh rose to 66,196 on Sunday after 32 more people tested positive for the infection, 26 less than the previous day, a senior health official said here.
The State on Saturday reported 58 new Covid-19 cases and 80 recoveries, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said.
Among the new cases, eight were reported from the Capital Complex Region, four each from Upper Siang and Namsai, East Siang (three) and two each from Changlang, Lower Dibang Valley and West Kameng district respectively, the official said.
Arunachal Pradesh currently has 348 active cases, while 65,552 people recuperated from the disease thus far, including 51 on Saturday.
The Namsai district has the highest number of active cases at 64, followed by Dibang Valley at 46, Upper Siang (28), West Kameng (23) and Lower Subansiri with 22 active cases.
A total of 12,85,258 samples have been tested for Coronavirus in the State thus far, including 268 on Saturday, Jampa added.
So far over 18.09 lakh people have been inoculated with Coronavirus vaccines in the State, State Immunization Officer (SIO) Dr Dimong Padung informed.
