Arunachal Pradesh logs 7 fresh COVID-19 cases

ITANAGAR: Seven more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, pushing the virus caseload in the north-eastern State to 55,313, a senior health official informed here on Tuesday.

As many as 54,998 people recuperated from the disease so far, including one on Monday, the official said. The death toll in the frontier State remained at 280 as no fresh fatality due to the infection was reported in the past 24 hours, State Surveillance Officer Dr Lobsang Jampa said. The northeastern State now has 35 active cases, Jampa said.

State Immunization Officer Dr Dimong Padung said 14,39,835 people have been inoculated so far including 2,771 on Monday.
