Arunachal Pradesh logs seven fresh COVID cases, tally at 54,987

ITANAGAR: The COVID-19 caseload in Arunachal Pradesh rose to 54,987 as seven more people tested positive for the virus infection, a senior health official said here on Monday. The death toll in the north-eastern State remained at 280 as no casualties were reported in the past few days, the official said.

As many as 37 people recuperated from the disease on Sunday pushing the total recoveries in the frontier state to 54,567, State Surveillance Officer Dr Lobsang Jampa said. Arunachal Pradesh currently has 140 active cases. The recovery rate among Covid-19 patients remained at 99.24 per cent while the active percentage stood at 0.25, the SSO said.

According to State Immunization Officer Dr Dimong Padung, a total of 12,57,663 people have been inoculated thus far in the State.
