ITANAGAR: Single-day recoveries continued to outnumber fresh COVID-19 cases in Arunachal Pradesh, as 22 more people recuperated from the disease on Monday, while the northeastern state recorded 6 fresh cases, a senior health official said here on Tuesday. The new cases raised the coronavirus tally in the State to 55,161 and a total of 54,796 people have recovered from the disease thus far, the official said.

The recovery rate among Covid patients improved marginally to 99.34 per cent from 99.31 per cent the previous day, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said. Arunachal Pradesh now has 85 active cases.

State Immunization Officer Dr Dimong Padung informed that a total of 13,18,951 people have been inoculated so far in the State.
