Observing the black-necked cranes in Sangti Valley does not only offer scenic delight for nature enthusiasts, but it also presents an opportunity for economic growth. The arrival of these migratory birds has caused a buzz within the valley with tourists eagerly anticipating witnessing their graceful display and potentially contributing to local businesses' prosperity. As hospitality services prepare to accommodate this anticipated influx, there is hope that increased tourism will bring about significant financial benefits to the region.
Until February, Sangti Valley will be graced by the presence of black-necked cranes who have escaped the harsh cold weather in Tibet. Their annual migration cycle emphasizes both the ecological importance of this area and also highlights how delicate a balance there is between nature and human interference. Once their stay ends, they shall journey back to their breeding grounds again for another year. Birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts are drawn to Sangti Valley in order to catch sight of the impressive cranes that migrate there. In an effort for the migratory birds and their vibrant temporary home area, those involved with the local community, forest department, and tourism industry cooperate closely together towards sustainable coexistence.
