ITANAGAR: Yatok Mra Nilo, sister of Everester Tapi Mra said there was no final outcome despite the three-hour-long meetings with the state government representative regarding the search and rescue operation of Tapi Mra and his attendant Niku Dao and other demands of the family held at state civil secretariat on Tuesday.

Speaking to the reporters, Yatok Mra Nilo said that the Secretary General of Tagin Cultural Society (TCS) has been called upon on Wednesday to finalize today’s meeting discussion by the state government.

She said the family will wait till tomorrow for the outcome of the final meeting of the TCS and the committee members of the state government. The family also made it clear during today’s meeting that no more meetings will be attended by any of the missing family members.

Nilo said that every financial and logistic requirement for the next S&R operation for both missings was explained to the authorities present through a PowerPoint presentation in the meeting.

“The experts from our family have detailed future action in regard to the search and rescue operation before the authorities. Therefore, the state government should come up with a final response by tomorrow,” she said.

She said that the state government should fulfill the entire demands made by the family, and accordingly, accepted by the state government during a meeting held on November 7 last year.

The demands of the family included action against the then DC of East Kameng PA Polumatla, talks with Chinese counterparts, naming the indoor Stadium of Daporijo as Tapi Mra stadium, and extending financial support to the family member of Niku Dao and a government job to the family member of Tapi Mra.

Nilo also informed that the secretary of Sports and Youth Affairs, Anirudh Singh, DC East Kameng, Director of Sports, Everester Anshu Jansempa, and representatives from Disaster Management, NDRF, SDRF, and others attended the meeting.
