Arunachal Pradesh reports nine new COVID cases

ITANAGAR: Nine more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, pushing the total caseload in the north-eastern State to 55,114, a senior health department official said here on Wednesday.

The COVID-19 death toll in the frontier state remained at 280, as no new fatality was reported in the last 24 hours, the official said. Arunachal Pradesh now has 137 active COVID-19 cases, while 54,697 people have recuperated from the disease thus far, including 10 on Tuesday, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said. A total of 12,95,778 people have been inoculated in the State so far, State Immunization Officer Dr Dimong Padung said.
