ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker P D Sona Thursday called upon the youths of the state to 'get high on life, not on drugs.

Addressing the 'mock parliament' organized by the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly for the students of various colleges, the Speaker appealed to the youths not to indulge in substance abuse and suggested they rather get high on life and not on drugs.

The mock parliament is part of Constitution Day to be celebrated on November 26 at the Assembly Complex.

Speaking on the Right to Freedom of Speech and Expression as enshrined in the Constitution for every citizen, Sona asserted that when democracy gives one freedom it also gives responsibility.

He emphasized that people should always analyse and introspect before speaking out their opinions on any platform.

Expressing serious concern over growing trends of cybercrime, cyberbullying, social media trolling and other related activities causing serious mental health issues among the youths, the Speaker suggested that people especially youths, use social media responsibly and for good of others.
