Itanagar: A team of the Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) met the bereaved family members of Khonsa massacre, including former MLA Tirong Aboh at Dadam village in the district on Friday. The APWWS team led by its president Dipti Bengia Tadar met the family members of eleven victims who were gunned down by ultras near Bogapani area in the district on May 21.
Consoling the grieving family members, the team including Bengia, Kani Nada Malling, Hage Onyo said that entire State was in mourning because of the brutal murder of 11 people, a release by the APPWS said here today. The family members, while sharing their pain, said that the earning members of the families were all killed for which their future was uncertain and appealed to the team to place their grievances to right authority.
The team assured them to take up their issues with the government. The team also visited Hunkan village, near Khonsa, to meet the family members of one of the victim, the release added.
