ITANAGAR: The Covid-19 tally in Arunachal Pradesh rose to 55,339, with three more persons tested positive for the infection, a senior health official informed on Friday. As many as 55,038 people including, one on Thursday, recuperated from the disease in the state so far, the official said. The Covid-19 death toll remained at 280 as no fresh casualty was reported in the past 24 hours, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said. Arunachal Pradesh has now 21 active Covid-19 cases.

The Coronavirus recovery rate in the frontier stood at 99.46 per cent, while the activity ratio stood at 0.04 per cent.

The Capital Complex comprising - Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas, has the highest number of active cases at 13, followed by Namsai district (3), Lohit (2), West Kameng (2) and Tawang with one case. As many as 12,04,943 samples were tested for Covid-19 so far in the state including, 149 on Thursday, Jampa said, adding the positivity ratio stood at 2.01 per cent.

State Immunisation Officer Dr Dimong Padung informed that a total of 14,61,096 people including, 1,007 on Thursday were inoculated in the state thus far.
