ITANAGAR: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) and All Nyishi Students' Union (ANSU) have jointly served seven days ultimatum to the State government to immediately suspend all the present incumbent officials and members of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) failing which the union has threatened to resort to the democratic movement.
Addressing the press conference, President -AAPSU Tana Dozi Tara stated, the government should immediately suspend the Chairman, Nipo Nabam, Secretary, Jayanta Kumar Ray and all the Members ( Tsering Naksang, Major General Ganesh Singh Bisht, Major General Darken Gamlin and Smti Mepung Tadar Bage) including the officers and staff.
While expressing strong resentment over the compulsory retirement of accused Taket Jerang Deputy Secretary cum Deputy Controller of Examination, AAPSU demanded immediate Termination including Tama Sorah, Junior Teacher Government Upper Primary School, Tarak, Pangin Tanyang Gaduk, Head Assistant DDSE Office, Boleng.
Further both the union also demanded, Fastrack CBI Investigations, Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigations and Independent Judicial Enquiry headed by Retired Judge of Supreme Court/High Court into APPSC Scam. CBI and ED must be pressed against t incumbents of the APPSC i.e., the Chairman, Secretary, members and all the officers and staff of APPSC.
Moreover, the investigation should be initiated against the wife of Tama Saroh, (Minoty Borang Saroh) who was recruited in APPSCCE 2017. Since the accused, his wife and the APPSCCE 2017 are directly interlinked, APPSCCE 2017 must be thoroughly investigated from every possible end.
Further, AAPSU and ANSU also demanded re-investigation of all the past case-related APPSC fiascos like APPSCCE (2014-15, 2017-18, etc) and Money-for-Job Case of APSSB, 2020 (Kapter Ringu case).
Moreover, AAPSU and ANSU are to be made part of the investigation processes by being in direct coordination with CBI Investigations, Enforcement Directorate Investigations, and Independent Judiciary inquiry stated Dozi.
Meanwhile, President ANSU- Nabam Dodum asserted that a mechanism for One-Time Age relaxation should be implemented for the candidates in a particular examination anytime, whose age bars are affected by the inordinate delays in the recruitment processes conducted by APPSC.
"The CBI Investigations and ED Investigations must be completed within 45 days and the independent judiciary inquiry must be completed within 30 days from the date of receipt of this representation.
As the apex organizations of Arunachal Pradesh, the team AAPSU and ANSU stand firmly with the student community of Arunachal Pradesh and will take the strongest measures for the greater interest of the state.
The recently exposed scams have given a hint of the bigger possible nexus of scams that must be unearthed and exposed and the guilty must be appropriately punished. The issues will not be compromised at any stage whatsoever may be the reason, till justice is delivered," Dodum said.
