Arunachal's MMA star Monda Sangno shines in Contender Series

NEW DELHI/ITANAGAR: Arunachal's Mixed Martial Artist, Monda Sangno defeated Mukul Suyal (22 yrs old) of Kshtra MMA club in All India Mixed Martial Arts Association Contender Series held at Noida Gaur City 1 on Saturday.

Suyal took down Monda just after the match began, however, Monda immediately switched and choked Suyal out in 1st round and 2 minutes.

The All India mixed martial Arts Association (AIMMAA) contender series is sanctioned by Global Ameature Mixed Martial Arts Federation.

Winner of this contender series would get an opportunity to enter Hero matrix fight night sponsored by superstar Tiger Shroff in Dubai.

With this win, Monda got MMA nickname Monda The Leopard Kid Sangno.

Monda is gold medalist in the strawweight (52 kg) bout at the Inter Club Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)/Kickboxing Championship 2020 held in Guwahati and also the gold medallist in the Wako Indian Open, an international kickboxing tournament which was held in New Delhi in February 2020.
